MRF Priorities for the New and Next Normal
As the rice industry emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic and focuses on recovery, resilience and sustainability, Myanmar Rice Federation is implementing the following development action plans to make sure the emerging rice industry adapt and remain secure, safe and strong.


1. MSME & Big Farmer Development
- Inclusive approach by onboarding MSMEs in local and export marketing and sales, prioritizing MSME’s access to markets
- Financial inclusion – ensuring the smooth and easy access to finance, promoting bankability
- Promoting productivity of the big farmers (who owns more than 10 acres of paddy land)
2. Improving the Seed Production of Promising Rise Varieties
- Joint public-private initiative in producing rice varieties highly demanded by local and international buyers
- Establishment of the MRF Co-op as the strategic hub for seed industry
